So, as many of you know, Hope has had some serious sty problems, like eye sties. She's had a chronic sty in both eyes since about 3 months ago. I took her to the eye dr. - no help. No offense, but I really despise going to the dr. Because 90% of the time they don't give me any useful information or medication. Like the time Grason had a bad cut that wouldn't stop bleeding so he went to the dr. and they gave him a bandaid and charged him $300 for it. Seriously, so irritating. I digress.
So, today she says she has an owie on her thumb. She's probably gotten it from falling, I say. She says, "I think I need to go to the thumb doctor, mommy." Why not? Eye dr., thumb dr. makes sense to a 3 year old. I laugh and think in my head, even if there were such a thing as a thumb dr. no way am I taking you to him...her thumb would have to be falling off for that to happen :)
so, I was reflecting on my life and thinking- is it weird that i think it's cute/ funny that my 2 year old names her poops and makes stories about them (eg. mama poop is reading to baby poop) and my 6 month old claws at my eyes???
Hope thinks many of her pellet poops are "so cute". And Clara has taken to clawing at my eyes and cheeks. I don't say clawing lightly- Grason and I both cut Clara's nails in the past and made her finger bleed for like an hour so we don't like to cut her nails. But, even though it hurts to be clawed, I delight in it too. When I really think about it, it's so weird to be a mom.
I think my kids are hilarious. In fact, Hope has a song about being hilarious, it goes "Hopey is hilarious". She sings it too.
I know, now that Clara is 9 weeks old, I am finally getting around to posting some pics of her. Such a bad mommy. Only now because of some pressure from a friend who shall not be named but moved recently to Minnesota (why? who knows :) Otherwise I would have procrastinated longer. Here it is, some pics of our dear daughter who is just now turning the less fussy/ sleeping better corner. Hooray! Some tidbits about Clara: Clara- clear bright Eden-delight Yee- is Grason's "real" last name. His grandfather's (who immigrated to the states) first name is Ott and his last name is Yee. You get what happened.
She was born 7 lbs. 2 oz. and 19 3/4 inches tall at 10pm on 7/20/09. She was born "all natural" without drugs or a c-section. And was wide eyed shortly after she appeared to us. I believe she is an Ott by her looks and personality. But, of course she is always changing.
She is now in the 68% for weight and 94% for height so is growing very well. And like I said, seems to be a happier camper with smiles and coos for everyone.
